The centennial identity celebrated Yogi Berra's life and values without turning his legacy into a caricature.
The challenge
The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center needed an identity for Yogi's 100th birthday. It had to honor a familiar legacy while also supporting the Museum's future as an educational and cultural institution.
The creative approach
Working with the centennial mark developed by Runway 4, I built a system around bold typography, a blue-and-gold palette, archival photography, and a light blue gradient that brought the work into the present.

The tone balanced warmth and celebration with the discipline expected of a museum. It felt connected to baseball, but broad enough to speak to visitors who knew Yogi through his humor, character, and values.
WHAT I LED
• Creative direction, art direction, and visual strategy for the centennial celebration
• Hands-on graphic design and development of the supporting visual system
• The recommendation to balance Yogi's warmth and personality with the credibility of a museum
• Integration of the Runway 4 centennial mark across the larger identity
• Extension of the system across social, outdoor, print, and environmental applications
The outcome
The identity extended across outdoor installations, social content, print, and the Museum itself. It gave the centennial a consistent visual presence while helping introduce Yogi's values - respect, perseverance, sportsmanship, and excellence - to a new generation.
